Training sessions are a great workout for men and women of all ages, and for all levels of fitness.
Our training attention is on teamwork, endurance, race strategy and a series of different programs both on and out of the water; the main focus on strength and boat fitness.
Tuesdays: 6.15pm – 7.30pm
Thursdays: 6.15pm – 7.30pm
Sundays: 8.45am – 10am, plus technique training from 8am
The Committee meet on the first Sunday of each month, training sessions will be run from the Port Sailing Club on these dates unless otherwise notified:
2019: 6 January, 10 February, 10 March, 7 April, 12 May, 2 June.

Through regular boat practice you achieve aerobic fitness, improve your technique and timing. Once your speed fitness is enhanced you will develop the stamina to participate in the 200m & 500m races.
Our coaching team will be there to give you support to reach your goals.
Can be achieved with the use of dumbbells, resistance bands, simple but effective aerobics, and your natural body weight - push-ups.
Improving shoulder muscles will ensure you are keeping your paddle as vertical as possible.
Developing strong upper and lower abdominal muscles is important for the reach extension.
Club members can borrow the use of an ergo machine for a max period of 6 weeks.
